Selling Public Land for Budget Reconciliatory Bill

Paying off debt or balancing the budget is just an excuse to get people on board with selling. It will just be a drop in the bucket of the deficit. I can’t imagine selling off something so treasured and something that we can never get back just to make a short term budget pencil out.

I used the Trout Unlimited link to contact my reps.

I clicked the link that @VMHunter shared but it took me to a petition to sign. I was trying to find the contact information for my representatives
I guess that’s what I did too. Here are some take action links from BHA.

Sorry, early morning post…foggy brain. It is a petition. I signed it anyway. The more spam we send them the more they hear it.

We should keep a tally of the stupid ideas getting thrown about to sell public land
The motivation to get rid of public lands in the name of "smaller government" has been in the GOP party platform since Reagan. This is just the latest version of their 45 year effort. It has nothing to do with housing availability and balancing budget. that is just the current bumper sticker on it. If defending public lands is as important to you as it is to me, please support every group fighting PLT. Our best move is to oppose this @ every turn. I spend 2-3 hours/day finding and sharing info about this. People I've never met reply to me online wanting more info about PLT, HR 1997 and other public land atrocities. They let me know they are sharing this info w like-minded others.

Yeah, I even had a pop up that said one of the senators required me to input my phone number a second time.

I don’t expect a phone call from his office.

Early this morning, the Senate voted on an amendment introduced by Hickenlooper and Heinrich that would prevent the sale of public lands. The amendment was voted down 48-51, with Daines and Sheehy voting with Democrats.
