Tread lightly HTers, come the end of the current SCOTUS term BigFin might be liable for all the hurt feelings . . . . ;)

I've been watching that. I'll be responsible for all things worthy of lawsuits on HT.

If it comes to pass you will definitely have to upgrade your user base ;)

Kidding aside, I would like to think they will leave it for congress to fix, but who knows these days. If the oral arguments are telling I may post on a separate thread.

Basically he’s a man who worked for Kimber and now wrote a book about how bad the gun industry and its supporters are. He’s a hunter and a gun owner making a lot of people who want more gun laws in this country happy. Him and many others claim support for 2A but are against aspects like concealed carry and semi auto rifles. I get being against semi autos due to mass shootings but the concealed carry thing confuses me because there’s no evidence that CC is leading to mass causalities.

I’ve been hard on the guy on forums but quit following him a year or so ago. I did like when he stood up to the Bundys in person when he was working for BHA.

As an owner of an ar15, which I haven’t taken out of my safe in over 10 years, I would only support raising the age limit to purchase to say 25 years old max. And background checks that actually work and are enforceable. Anything other than that is a infringement on 2A and the way our government likes to control us out of fear. I realize many others will disagree with raising the age limit and think I’m anti 2A as well. Slippery slopes are slippery.

I agree with him in a way about the tactical gun porn industry. However, there are dozens of ways to solve/mitigate school shootings before we start banning more firearms outright.

The slide forum thread is a good one. Seek outsides response to it was pathetic, Kevin can’t even own up to his beliefs. In their podcast they compared owning military tanks and nukes to owning a semi auto rifle. He would make an excellent politician.
Lastlight> your intro forgot to mention who Busse works for now.

What's interesting is that multiple people who know Kevin personally, including Robby Denning, have said this is a mischaracterization of him in the Rokslide thread. Nobody pays any attention to that, though.

Ehhh wrong. Flat out misleading statement.

What Robby said is he doesn’t hate hunters. Nothing to do with his 2a stance and hatred or right wingers.

Btw I’m not a right winger or any winger for that matter

And that right there is why I decided to read the book he wrote.

When people on the inside start asking questions, maybe even questioning themselves, there's typically a reason why. Those reasons are what I find interest in.

It’s hard to tell where you land. What exactly is your issue with bringing to light SO/Kevin’s stance on 2a and leftist ideology? Should his public stances not be talked about.. publicly?

Buzz, if you received 10% of your income from PETA i wouldn't buy a book you wrote about forestry or public access or just about anything. What comes first the motives or the money or the money then the motives?

@lastlight ,that statement was a composite of several different posters, but yes, Robby did state it differently.

I put the opinions of those who actually know someone in person way higher than people who know them online only.

You're literally jumping into any thread he posts and going after him for being an ass. Maybe his initial post is short, maybe even rude, but it isn't personal - you made it personal. Pot, meet Kettle.
Yeah, you're right. He should just continue to piss a bunch of people off and continue to be an ass at every opportunity that arises. I shouldn't call him out for it.

Also, I've commented on 2 threads now where he was being an ass for no reason. This one, and the E-Bike one.

As a wise man once said:

Butthurt is not a reportable injury.

I spent a good chunk of the day shooting scary black guns, but I couldn’t care less if Seek Outside had Nancy Pelosi on their podcast. This thread is a great reminder of why I hate both the left and right political cults equally. Maybe we need more people like Buzz calling bullshit when they see it.

Busse promoted his book sales based on a knee jerk emotional book selling outburst, viscously at the expense of a great community of hard working Americans in the Flathead Valley of Montana.

His assault of our community blemished any interest to read further. His message, that may hold some value, has been hamstringed.

Here's the catch though, his publisher, agent, and Busse himself are fully aware, Flathead Valley is a pawn discarded in his book sale promotion. Embellished intro only loses a fraction of the book world market.

Slanderous drama is a great method to promote sales.

Reality? I was at the BLM peaceful protest in Kalispell, MT where support, opposition, and those interested in keeping the peace, ALL protected under our 1A - Right (not government privilege).
Find a "peaceful" BLM protest, w/o tearing down/defacing property and we call this event peaceful. Many pride filled Flathead Valley Americans were present to reduce the common destruction caused by the national BLM protests.

Let's be clear here, this REMAINED a valued 1A peaceful protest due to respectful dialogue between, LEOs, concerned Montana citizens for our property and the BLM protest representatives, youth originated / adult supervised. Our monuments and property were protected by pride filled 1A protected Montanans.

Intel presented a present threat by both, external BLM and Anti-BLM forces from outside our mutual community agreed 1A protest. These forces always seek to make headlines. Riots, destruction of property, attempts to escalate... Etc.

I take Busse at his word, face value, of the disappointing setting of a verbal confrontation by an anti-BLM protester and his kid.
One fact: He brought his juvenile to this Black Lives Matter protest with the full understanding of the riots and destruction nationwide surrounding BLM protests.
Sickening such humans exist, on all sides of contentious issues, though we ALL know such exists (especially parents) and protests tend to bring out these scumbags. Thankfully, no one was physically hurt in this experience.

Side note: Due to visible protection and detailed pre protest meeting between law enforcement, organized citizen protection of monuments and property, and BLM protest organizers, this REMAINED a "peaceful" First Amendment gathering.

As for Seek Outside hosting the Senior Advisor of Gifford's Anti-2A organization, to the extent of regulating/registering bb guns, to each his/her own. They produce their podcasts for a reason. There's promotion intent.
I'd liken it to Nike and Kapershit. I'll not buy their products, as I do not other companies who promote an agenda beyond product I'm opposed.

Side note: there are friend connections within Hunt Talk, SO, BHA, etc with Busse. This house, will defend him regardless, as friends do. Don't expect anything less.

As for our school yard bully... Meh.

To include hurt feelings? You can get sued for about anything these days...
Not when you say it that way, you hire lawyers to make it sound ominous. ;)

Like, "My client through no fault of his own was viciously attacked. The attack was slanderous and caused grave injury. My client now suffers from PTSD and has lost his job, his spouse and his friends directly flowing therefrom. Justice demands this harm be remediated."
