Hey guys I’m looking into applying in SD this year. I’m having trouble finding success rates for the different units. As well as the amount of public land for the different units. Anyone have any experience or suggestions?? Thanks!

Success rates along with public land info is all found on their game and fish website. Lots of info on the new site.

I was out there this past fall mule deer hunting in the north west part of the state and there was good numbers of them. There's quit a bit of public there as well but the draw odds are terrible.

You're going to have to wait several years to draw an any antelope tag out here. I'd say you'd have just as much luck waiting for a decent unit in Wyoming as you would in SD.

Agree with Wulffhunter. 6-7 years ago or so it was a lot easier. And you got 3 tags per license. I think last year or year before they started allowing non-resident tags again after the atlas storm in 2013.
