When Hunttalkers come to the Redman House for Wayward Souls I get very nervous... Mrs. Redman has 0 filter and has been known to make Cushman blush...
Cush will be here in a couple weeks and I will try to get a video but it will probably not be on here long and then I will be banned from HT for life and probably have a lawsuit that quickly follows...Pics or it didn't happen.
PayPal has security features set up to protect buyers and sellers. As you would expect, the service isn't free to run. Sending money as a gift in an attempt to get out of paying for this service seems to be a contributing factor to the lack of trust. To be blunt, the guy that tells me "My word is my bond. Let's try to save a few $s and send it as a gift" is going to set off alarms for me. I am glad it all worked out for you and Dave.Yeah, I buying a scope from Dave N . PayPal directed the payment to a Dave Nxxxxxxx and Dave's PayPal name is David Nxxxxxxx. No one's fault except PayPal glitch. PayPal wouldn't back it up because the $$ was sent as a gift to ditch the PayPal fees. It took about a month to get my money back.
Before I read the caption I thought that was Aaron Rodgers on the streets begging for a new team.
Thanks I appreciate it.Let me help restore everyone’s faith in humanity. This June, I bought a shotgun from a member here from Montana, I live in Iowa. Rather than the hassle of shipping, I asked him if he ever traveled near my friends ranch in MT. He said he did, but it wouldn’t be till later in the summer/early fall. I said perfect. I mailed him a $1200 check so he could fun his next gun purchase right away. When he had time, he dropped it off at my friends ranch, they held it for me till I made it out there this November. I had no prior dealings with this member and had never met him. I can tell you all that @Pagosa is a heck of a good guy and I’d trust him for anything going forward.
Be the change. Please don't read anything into it. It just wasn't meant to be. I'm good, he's good. It's the world around us that's not good.
what handshake deal. See none in your dramatic rendering of situation. Product and hard cash were to be exchanged in person. that ain't a handshake deal. The point was that the good old days of handshake deals are fading away. It's sad to me at my age that people just don't trust each other anymore. It seems everyone is looking down the road for "what if". It never used to be like that. My word, or yours was all that was needed. Now I've come to where I don't trust as much as I used to . The other guy is the same. I think it's because the younger generations have destroyed the trust in each other and it's rubbing off onto the older guys like me. That's what's sad to me.
What did your wife say though? This one time, I met a bunch of well known members in the woods in Montana for what I thought was a bear hunt.
I'll 2nd that. Top shelf.Let me help restore everyone’s faith in humanity. This June, I bought a shotgun from a member here from Montana, I live in Iowa.
