Ruger Predator 25-06 . Boyd's Nutmeg Prairie Hunter. Leupold VX 3. Trigger set to 2-1/2#
I found that Boyd's Nutmeg color is a random variable. It wasn't the same as the Nutmeg stock I received 3 weeks ago. It's a little disappointing but the Boyd's quality is still strong.

This is a comparison of the same Nutmeg . It would have complimented the Burnt Bronze a little better I think.

The barrel is free floated. The lugs are bedded in and magazine clearances are corrected. I use metal trigger guards. The screws that Boyd's supplies are always too short. I wish they would correct that. The rear screw is ok but the front only catches by 2 threads. Luckily they are 1/4 24 so fitting a longer screw is fairly easy.

Nice looking rifle. The stock looks sharp. My son has a Ruger MKII with a Boyds nutmeg laminate on it. Looks good and shoots even better. 25-06 is a fantastic cartridge!!

Looks great! I’ve thought of trying to find a Savage Axis II in .280AI and doing the same.
