6 rams came out of the creek bottom and crossed the road in front of me. They looked very healthy inspite of all the snow still on the ground.

Always good to see a few healthy sheep I am glad to see some melt happening. Hopefully we don't get many huge spring dumps. They seem to be fairing pretty well over here as well.....

Probably should have cleaned the windshield before taking a picture through it. Thought about snapping a picture of the 20+ far off the road ewe herd and have everyone count the dots.

I purchased Leupold scope, synthetic stock and stainless barrel just for this reason. It should still be in great shape.

Always like to see sheep as long as they can avoid the "Grim Reaper" on the highways. In eastern Arizona, the town of Morenci often has Rockys wandering thru their parks and neighborhoods. AZGFD yearly transplants from that area to unoccupied former sheep ranges in the state. Pretty neat. GJ

Western Montana has some notorious "grim reaper" highway stretches for bighorns. East of Thompson Falls, Bonner, and just outside Anaconda to name a few.
