Rifle Range - Bozeman to Cody Wyoming

I'm flying into Bozeman on Nov 18 and heading down to Cody to hunt around Meeteetse. I'd like to check my rifle after the flight. 100 yards would be fine, but longer would be ideal. Is there a rifle range anyone would recommend?

Meeteetsee has a rifle range on the south side of town. It's set up for at least 200 yards, maybe 300.

Theres plenty of relatively flat BLM ground just outside of Cody to the east. I usually check my rifle around there when I’m down that way.

Are you elk hunting, and if so Area 63 or 64? If you are in 64, we’ll be watching for ya! Good Luck on your hunt, Welcome to Wyoming, and.....don’t feed the grizzlies! I’m not sure if they like Kiwis ! memtb

I have to say this is one of the nicest ranges I've shot at and I live in Bozeman and have done a ton of shooting at ranges around the area.

Hi memtb, I wish I was hunting elk in those areas, hear they hold great elk! I am hunting whitetail in 118 which is just south of meeteetsee. I'll keep an eye out for grizzlies, nice to see but not up close! Good luck on your elk hunt. Cheers.

Kiwi, We’ll likely be just south of you, across the ridge. We’re just hunting cows, but I here some very nice bulls came out this year. We put in for cows this year. The wife was made because I wouldn’t let her shoot an average bull early in the season, consequently....we’ve “eaten” quite a few bull tags! memtb

It really is a tremendous facility. We used to use it quite a bit when my father lived in Cody.

Il try and get there if I have time. They appear to have range days so will need to try and make the timing work. Or visit when I hunt MT in the future.
