Regardless of right or wrong the Wyoming NR wildressness outfitter regulation is in place.
The loop hole is going with a resident and some minor paper work. At this point in my life I enjoy going hunting for hunting sake and don't get supper hung up on shooting particularly when it's in beautiful country.
I've never seriously considered random hunting trip with more or less strangers because
1) I don't have a ton of time off
2) There is a very real perception that nothing is free and making the case for unlicensed guiding could be a pretty low bar.
3) NR tags are not cheap and have turned more than one good guy into a huge A hole when things don't the way YouTube said they would.
All that to say I've meet some realy good NRs and it's not a huge stretch to envision sharing a camp with some of these guys. Particularly since I love the high country and don't generally need a lot of arm twisting to go when a friend suggests a weekend warrior trip.
I feel like it's not a huge jump to get there, but maybe it's just too risk? Curious on people thoughts or experiences. This falls under W.S. 23-2-401 for the nerds.
