Yeah I read that it was a 300 in your first post. I meant what model is it? I Remington chambered them in 7's & 700's, and Ruger in 77's...that I know of.

I'm new to reloading so I'm trying to learn as much as possible. How far should the chronograph be from the end of the barrel? Is it 10 feet?

Good thing you're not bulk loading pistol rounds...saturday I "loaded" about 50 rounds without any powder because I didn't put enough powder in the hopper after calibrating for the 5 grain load. That was a spooky moment at the range. Luckily there weren't any under/over charged rounds just went pop.
