Well good for you.I'm not lost in the weeds, I'm in them deliberately because that's what's required to have a non-ideologically driven perspective. I value wildlife, habitat, and wilderness far more than if the unemployment rate is 7% or 2.5%. And it turns out that recreation is not conservation. So while you and every other REI shopper feel like hiking is good for nature, I don't and I vote strongly the other way on that particular topic, which ranks very highly on my give-a-shit list.

Given what it would do the ability of government to function (I know, I know...good riddance many of you seem to think) and how it would blow the national debt into unrecoverable territory (you are still worried about that, aren't you?), we all should not be happy about that. Why do I have a feeling if something like that actually happens about 10 of you will still whine. Coming from the guy who owns a company where probably 99.9% of employees are exempt from overtime but work 60-80per week if not more.

“Jim, you don’t understand your business. Just trust us.”-DJTSure glad I rushed the buy a bit knowing what could be coming when I got my new truck in December.
Ford Motor CEO Jim Farley didn’t mince his words when talking about tariffs on Wednesday. He isn’t a fan of the current policy.
“If they’re protracted, [tariffs] would have a huge impact on our industry with billions of dollars of industry profits wiped out, an adverse effect on the U.S. jobs as well as the entire value system in our industry,” said Farley on Ford’s fourth-quarter earnings conference call.
“Tariffs would also mean higher prices for customers,” added the CEO.
“What doesn’t make sense to me is why we’re having this conversation while Hyundai, Kia [are] importing 600,000 units in the U.S. with no incremental tariff. And why is Toyota able to import half-a-million vehicles in the U.S., no incremental tariffs,” added Farley.
