Relax, Everything is Going to be Okay!

Travelers are responding with their wallets. New bookings to the United States from Canada have declined about 20% since February 1 compared with the year-ago period, according to Forward Keys, a flight ticketing data firm.

This worries the U.S. travel industry. Inbound travel to the United States is still just 90% of pre-pandemic levels, Geoff Freeman, CEO of the U.S. Travel Association, said in an interview.
No other country's residents go to the United States more than Canada, which notched 20.4 million visits in 2024. Canadian travelers also spend three times more on vacations than domestic U.S. travelers, said Freeman.

Less tourists hovering around the Yellowstone region this summer is a good thing IMO!

Same. I eat a ton of eggs. $4/dozen in Bozeman. Never understood the big deal with people bitching about the price of eggs.

Carry on...this thread is awesome! Worried about some of you guys.
Complaints for the Denver, CO area pop up here and there, yet - I go to Walmart website for Denver CO and preseto. Reasonably priced eggs in stock.
People gain news algorithms that base on the feeds they desire. Thus, AI Google, etc select news feeds to fit the person's agenda.

Out of that, they believe, naively, that must be the common news.

Gullible or intentional, a person is a blind sheep or one with eyes wide open excited to hop off the cliff.

I support less tourism, no matter the source.

Yeah, let's put more people out of work and really trash this economy to the max extent possible. I hate foreigners anyway. All of them.
Not everything is black and white Brent. You don't HAVE to carry the liberal flag on every march.

And no one is going to convince me that a recreation-based economy is intrinsically better than any other form. Sign me back up for extraction, please. You can reclaim a coal mine (eastern elk reintroduction is based around it), clearcuts provide significant benefits in many landscapes, and free-range cattle can be managed a helluva better than free-range people. I get that living in shithole Iowa you don't see first hand the impact tourism based recreation has on wildlife, but it's significant, way more so than the your rank and file environmentalists want to acknowledge. The worst part is that it's almost completely unmanaged, or even unmanageable, and if there is a line, it's so much further down the degradation spectrum than we ever allow industry to get (with some notable exceptions).

Look up the definition of the word "every".
I live in many places and I especially love those with destitute, out of work, broke and broken people. Your simplistic noting of an economy tells me you are lost in the weeds and have been for a very long time.
