Thanks for providing this definition. Science says it’s applicable to single digit percentages of people, but in recent years I’ve observed that to many it just means “ex boyfriend/ex husband” or just successful people with standards and boundaries that are almost always men.

“Narcissist” is a loosely defined term that gets used for a broad range of behavior patterns. NPD has a specific clinical definition, the criteria of which I posted. I was simply responding to @Bonasababy’s comment regarding mental health, indicating that’s the condition I’ve heard cited. Again, decide for yourself whether it seems to align or not.
