What Elon is doing is the equivalent of taking the oil pump and radiator out of new cars to lower production costs. Everything is going to break down and fail. And when that happens to federal lands the solution is going to be to transfer them to the states. The premise to this thread is to relax and let it unfold. I disagree with that premise.

This is the best analogy I’ve heard so far, I might even say you’re giving Musk too much credit? change it to wheels/tires and drain all the fluids. Anything a high schooler could do with jack/tire iron included with car and pliers in his pocket. They’d probably round off the drain plug but who cares…. Now, age limits I'm on board with. There is a mountain of evidence that people over 60 begin to lose their mental abilities. But I have no issue with someone being a "career politician" they just need to be forced out at 65.

So when trump sells all the public land we should have some good options for landowner tags all the west will be run like new mexico e plus. I am starting to see why treeshark likes that system so much and with all the states moving to that it will likely make it much cheaper to get land owner and the small amount of public land tags will be come expensive #privatelandhunter.......

I won’t go as far as to call myself a libertarian. The Pauls have made that a dirty word. I admit there is a line somewhere. Democracy works best if we agree to follow rules and then decide on what those rules should be. What we are seeing now is one party saying Pfuk the rules we agreed to.
