Relax, Everything is Going to be Okay!

The only reason Joe was picked to run in 2020 was because Bernie Sanders was about ready to win the nomination. The Democrat party could not allow that to happen. It was a rigged process.
Did the dems even want Kamala to be the one running for president? I seem to remember sleepy Joe dropping out and she just slipped in.

Really? Dude is 82. Did you see him in the debate? Kind of same deal with Trump. It was a choice over which stage of dementia you wanted to vote for. Dems wanted to attract younger voters. Not enough to overcome the Boomers apparently. I find it amusing when people say Trump’s policy or Trump’s this or that. That dude isn’t calling the shots on anything but his golf game.
When you poke yourself and start to bleed, is it blue?

Chatter is Obama wanted an open primary. When Joe endorsed Kamala after stepping down, it was perceived as Joe giving one last middle finger to Obama. You would have to ask a party insider whether this is accurate or not, though.

Big mess no matter how it went down.

The problem to me again was timing...way too late to vet and get going. Obama wasn't wrong in wanting an open but very short primary IMO. But it was also fair to say it was too late for that. So back to my earlier point--I think Biden might have pulled out earlier had more given him advice that his time was past and for the good of the party he should make an early decision on that.

Then again Reagan was MUCH worse than Biden when he ran for his 2nd term. Nancy wasn't going to relent though!

So who is you early pick for 2028?

Forget all the old names you know, in 2028 vote Texwest44 for president! I'll run a hard campaign on platforms that really matter to Americans, such as: bringing down the price of chocolate chips, replacing the text of the constitution with the lyrics to Keep Your Hands to Yourself by the Georgia Satellites, and requiring every citizen under the age of 21 to participate in one year of swing dancing lessons.

Texwest44 in 2028! Don't Hand Me No Lines and Keep Your Hands to Yourself!

All your missing is a couple hundred million dollar donor...

If they run anyone whose name we’ve seen on a primary ballot before, that’s a failure. I have no idea if he’s interested at all, but I think Mark Cuban would have a good chance. Fight fire (billionaires) with fire (billionaire).
Sounds like I’m not the only one thinking that, but I like that he is at least educated on the issue of healthcare unlike many of the people making healthcare policy.

The fact that he ran in 1988 and again in 2020 shows everything wrong with the system.
I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at. But based on how difficult it is to run a gov't, I've never been one to subscribe to the concept that terms limits are intrinsically good. I don't want a new plumber every 8 years, or a new doctor, or a new taxi driver. I want people who are good at their jobs. What chaps me way more is that people don't vote people out who aren't good at their job.

The lack of ideological consistency is the most frustrating part. Everyone is happy to throw their fists in the air at the money Pelosi has made gaming the market with insider knowledge, but when we're literally watching insider dealing in plain sight, it's fine cuz we're owning the libs!

I agree with you to some degree on that but these jobs where never meant to be a career

And building a home was probably never envisioned to require a permit. But times change, you have to adapt. I don't think it's unreasonble to expect it to take 1-4 cycles (depending on the person and the house/senate) to become serviceable at their job.
