So far it's been a tremendous year for being out. Way to hot in September and October so my boys and I did about 42,000 combined vertical ft and another 25 -30 horizontal in the high country. Just checking out new area's over a 7 week period. Now that the weather has set in we're about to start a week of actual hunt time. Best to everyone this year. :)

Thanks for the comments, here's a couple more before we get caught up to November.
These are just some more random shots from Sept and Oct.

Took a day out in the flat land and could only find a few smaller bucks. This guy was just over the hill so I pulled up and blew the fawn in distress call a coupe times just for shats and giggles. He came on the run jumped the fence right in front of the truck then stood for a couple pics. I was so busy watching him I never saw his littler buddy and 4 does come up on my right within 40 yards of the fence.

You do get around out there. Awesome Pic's. Thanks.

Dave I'm blessed to live within an 1/2 hour drive of some expansive prairie regions to the south and east. 1-1/2 hour drive to the high country out west where the skies the limit. With the advent of all the digital equipment it's not hard to get lucky once and a while. What you do is beyond awesome being able to put the pictures in your head into art. That my man is a talent.
Here is how easy it is for me. First you get your basic HD camcorder call in a buck and some does. Video them coming in and take some stills off the video. The key to mine is just taking the time to do what I love and that's just being outdoors. This time I never even left the truck. I just carry my cameras 24 7.

Thanks Powder, I love the openness and the open roads out their.
2 things I will need for my ride this summer out to Denver and Albuquerque and Tx will be a Helmet cam and a good Camera.

Dave I'm looking at a Go Pro Hero 3 Black edition to add to my pile mostly for quadding. Right now I pack my big Olympus OM3 and a small Cannon Power Shot for digital pics. For the video I use a Sony HD Handycam and just added a Cannon HD Handycam. I've been toying with getting a lighter tripod to take the shake out of the video's which I attribute to the wind in this country not my nerves. I was impressed with my new Cannon Vixia HF R40 with 53x zoom. I pulled this guy up from 100yrds away. He would gross as a booner spiker and he teased me last day of the season. The only thing that saved his bacon was the 1 inch deduction I would have to take side to side. He hung around for about 10 minutes and did give me a pretty tempting look at some tender vittles before he left.
