Question for the 30 cal guys

I bought a 300 RCM and it came with a bunch of ammo, which means I have brass for reloading.

What is everyone’s favorite .308 caliber bullet? Lookin for suggestions.

Like others have posted, it depends on what you are shooting at and what your rifle likes. My .308s like 150 and 158 gr Hornady Match bullets. My .30-06 liked 150 gr Hornadys for deer and antelope and 180 gr Sierras for elk. My .30 Gibbs liked 180 gr Partitions for elk and moose. My .300 Wby likes 168 gr TSX and TTSX for everything from 20# African antelope to elk and red deer, and now I'm loading 80 gr TTSX bullets in it for elk and moose.

I’ve been very happy at modest distances with my 150gr Nosler E-tips in my .30-06. They are expensive though and not always easy to find.

My next rifle will start with a Barnes 168gr TTSX in the same caliber and then I’ll decide which bullet stays.

Congrats on that new rifle!
Both of those bullets are on my radar. Thanks buddy!

I’m a fan of monos. I run 150-180 grain depending on the cartridge I am loading for. If it is a short action I’d probably go 150 grain.

I also ran Nosler Partitions and Accubonds out of a 308 in the past. Both performed well. I personally like either a mono or bonded bullet. I like minimizing meat damage
