Public land…🤬

People suck everywhere.

Most of my poor experiences have been with the local hunters. Whether it's here in MN or out west.

Type 1 BMA in MT this September there was a road on one of these ranches leading up to the foothills of a wilderness area. The designated parking area was about 3 miles away. Walking the closed road made it easier to get back in there. A truck with 3 locals (talked to them, they live about an hour away) came driving by. I asked if we were allowed to drive down the road and his response was "no, we're not supposed to, but we don't care".

I had a guy drive a four wheeler through the woods yesterday afternoon to take a ladder stand down past where I was hunting. This was around 4 in the afternoon. It’s an expensive ticket if caught driving an atv on the national forest I hunt on.
I called the game warden for the area and he said it was the Federal Ranger’s that deal with that, but there wasn’t one assigned to our area. So I guess we can basically do whatever we want there!

Hopefully you took photos of license plate with identifiable features in the background and ideally with GPS location and turned them in to local law enforcement. Without some kind of repercussions they will do it again, and so will their friends. My two cents.

This is what I do. Makes for some intense situations sometimes but I don't care anymore. I turn in any illegal activity I see. mtmuley

I use an app called Solocator for work. It includes the lat/long on the picture.
