Do any of you know how to disable the "right click" option when posting photos on the internet? I've seen pictures on the net that disappear when you put the mouse arrow on them, or pop up a box that says "This function has been disabled" if you right click them to save.

Although I didn't find a buck worth putting my tag on this year, my buddy killed a brute. I probably won't be posting a pic of it unless I can figure out a safe way. He still might not let me. I'll say this about the buck, though. He's got cheaters on both sides, a (small)dropper on one side, 32" outside spread, and 28" main beams.

I imagine he'll be coming to a magazine near you in the future.

Oak,

You might "pre-destroy" the picture, and then post it. You could use Pain or PhotoShop, and remove tines, or cover a portion of the rack.

Somehow make it un-postable for anything too valuable. Put a Jack-in-the-Box head on it.... Add some extra tines. Color it Blue.... etc.. etc...

There is no way to keep it safe. Anything posted can be gotten around by someone that knows what there doing. Yo ucan Even save Right click protected ones. ther eis the "VIEW SOURCE" or SAVE PAGE comand then View the Source and go to the Source Directly.

I'm sure there is Some Super coder out there can can stop it.. but then again there is a Super coder to break it ...

I like 'Gunners Idea

I've seen what you are talking about, and like moosie said, you can very easily work around that. A simple "copy page" command and a little cutting in photoshop and viola. Your best bet would be to watermark your picture in something like photoshop. You could make it cover the entire picture so there would be no way for someone to doctor it up, or at least it would keep them busy for a very very long time.

Actually there is a way.

you can put it on one of moosie's sites and keep is from being posted to other websites.
they would have to come to oscars and log in to see it.

and the right click thing there is scripts for it.

problem is someone can always find a way to dload it

you can put it in the gallery and allow only members of the gallery to see it as well.

If ya need help I will be back late tonight let me know.

Thanks guys. I never thought about the screen grab technique for getting protected pics. Oh well. I guess I'll just let everyone know if it ends up in print.

Hmm, I guess we know how you screwed it up, eh?

You're a computer nerd and didn't know it.
