My archery pronghorn season opened yesterday, but I won't get to hunt until the weekend. Last weekend I went scouting and found several bucks in some huntable areas. Time will tell whether hunting pressure this first week pushes them into areas harder to access - like the nearby private land.

I was in Idaho Friday through Tuesday! Saw lots of animals. I was somewhat overwhelmed by how much country there is to cover. I stalked into 80 yards of a respectable buck on Monday, but the shot opportunity wasn't perfect. I think I'm heading back tomorrow. Good luck and maybe I'll see you out there. I'll be in a grey dodge diesel.

Kiwi, yes. It'll be a spot and stalk hunt. I chose these areas for the terrain. I saw a couple of blinds set up in the area I took these, so I know I won't have it to myself. I was hoping to go there today and hunt tomorrow morning, but it didn't work out. We'll see if they're still around next weekend.
