Poor folks supper

We were poor when I was growing up but I didn’t know it until later. We always had something to eat, a roof over our heads and clothes to wear. We had a big garden and my mom spent a lot of time working in the garden and then canning what she grew. I was never a fan of ham and beans because she used Lima beans but her cornbread bread was pretty good!

For my kids it was two words: Ramen Noodles. Good thing they liked them.

Made a pot of ham and beans with ham leftover from Christmas.

A box of Mac & cheese, deer burger and a can of corn. When the wife was at work this is what I made my two boys. To this day they will devour it.
