In 2018 I committed myself to shedding weight and working way back into physical shape. I gave myself the goal of making it to Everest Base Camp (EBC) in the spring of 2020. Well something came up to postpone my trip but this is the story of doing the trip in 2023.

Have heard there a great deal of trash left behind by the climbers and tourists. Did you see any evidence of this?

There is trash in places but not there are several places on the trail to dump your trash. IMO the bigger issue is that number of people and the lack of sanitation along the trail. Everest Base Camp is relatively clean compared to the trail because all human waste has to be removed from EBC. Trash in Kathmandu was terrible but up in the Khumbu area it was not as bad.
