Caribou Gear Tarp

Other big game....fish count?

Is that a BAND in the lip on the first one?

Best not let the Avery boys see that....won't be long before there will be hordes of fishermen in MTMILLER endorsed sleevless shirts with lanyards laden with "trophies" around their necks......

You heard it here first.....

Steve

Great looking fish there Miller, great looking day on the water as well. How are the Paddles doing over there? We used to come over snagging for them from Whitefish in the late 70's and early 80's, but never caught anything like those.

It was a little windy, but a great day to be out. I know they are hating life today with the wind, cold and rain we are dealing with currently.

We ended up with 50 in the boat yesterday and maybe 5 were over 60#. We boated two males with tags that were at least 17 years old.

There were some folks snagging in the area, but since the quota was hit a couple weeks ago, it is catch and release only.

Lots of studies on the snagging and releasing, apparently little if any harm done.

I thought the same thing as you Oak, didnt make sense.

I'm still not entirely convinced.

I have to agree, I don't remember that we did much "releasing" when we were snagging them. Course that was running up on 30 yaers ago too. Glad to hear they seem to be doing well.

Awesome, way bigger fish than the ones I was shocking the other day.

How did the shocking work on paddlefish? I was told they had a mortality issue when they had tried it over here.

Sorry for the confusion, not shocking paddlefish, just little rainbow trout and the occasional whitefish.

Oklahoma I think is still snaggable(wtf, is that a word?) and open for one a day...kinda fun to catch, but I don't think they let you release them. Besides that, more than one of those big gal's a day is more than my arms ever wanted.

Very nice!! Them big fatty's are fun to pull in. A few years back, BOY and I spent a weekend in Glendive snagging them. The quota was met, but everyone snagged was measured and tagged by FWP. I think we caught 74 in less than two days. The biggest was estimated at 105# by the FWP.

74 in Two Days!!!! DAM! Just the two of you????

Got out on the Range Tour Craig...that was a tuff gig too... not sure how I made it through the whole 3 days.... started like this at Judith....

Got down to Fred Rob and one of our guys is a paddlefishing fool... after about 30 casts we got a 30#er and my fricken camera was in camp...

I also am not so sure about the snagging and release thing, but there seem to be some decent scientists that are saying otherwise...

??

Hey Craig, so there is a rumor going around that FWP picked up a 192 pounder?!?!?!

You know anything about that? Chit...the state record sport caught is 142 or so....

Funny stuff. We actually talked about that fish the day I was out there. Did your version mention all the hooks and broken line still attached?;) It is untrue. Funny the weight was exactly the same that I was told.

So the entire fish...192# is untrue...or the hooks and weights and such??? My buddy claims the FWP dude camped at Fred Robby told him that....
