That's the tagline that Savage is using in a new YouTube video.

Personally, I would love to own every firearm my grandfather once called his own. Unfortunately, I have just one of them.

I feel super fortunate to have most of my grandpas and great grandpas rifles. Likely the nicest one though is owned by a cousin who does absolutely zero shooting. It was my great grandpas pre 64 winchester model 70 in .270. This reminds me that I need to get back to working on that cousin.

No kidding ..... Grandpas Savage actually had a wooden stock and a blued finish -vs- the plastic bead blasted junk they put out.

I've got my Grandpas Remington model 12 pump .22 rimfire with a Weaver K3 scope.
Gun is 100+ years old and still shoots fine.

I should add that IMO, whoever came up with this tagline for Savage, doesn't fully understand their customer base. I've never found anyone who hunts who has no desire to own any of their grandfather's firearms. While I recognize their desire to sell new firearms, you're not advancing the brand by trying to lower the value of family heirlooms.

Yeah. Seems like someone who doesn’t understand hunters/shooters that didn’t grow up with plastic guns or the history of Savage. They used to make heirloom pieces. Now they’re just another also ran.

I picked up one of their 125th Anniversary Model 110 rifles several years ago and very glad I did. Less than 1895 of them were produced, even though the plan was to offer that many in honor of the year the company began making and selling firearms. Not only is it something I know the company will never make again, it may one day serve as a reminder of a company that no longer exists.
