NOSLER wants to see your success

Its a little gruesome and nearly didn't post it up, but the accubond could have possibly saved my bacon on a less that perfectly executed shot? I'm such a wanker behind the trigger.

The Accubond is one Hell of a bullet. mtmuley

Daughter’s buck from this year at Texas Parks & Wildlife youth hunt. Bang flog at ~60 yards from one 90 grain BT from her Howa 243.9E7700ED-2B46-4F22-84F1-60FFEE93C5CF.jpg

Sorry it took me so long to get the 2017 Nosler winner drawn. The winner has been notified.

7mm-HT 140 grain Nosler Partitions out of the lady's Rem 700. Bear made it about 20 yards and crashed, didn't stand a chance

This is a West Virginia bear. A single shot in the chest from about 30 yards with a 270 Win and a 130 gr Ballistic Tip dropped it in its tracks.

When I do my part, these bullets shoot amazingly well in this 6 pound, 6 ounce rifle.

Well it seems I was the lucky winner!
Mason Payer at Nosler was most accommodating in letting me split the prize into the 2 cartridges we use.
I chose 5 boxes of 7mm Rem Mag 140 grain Accubonds and 5 boxes of .270 Win 140 grain Ballistic Tip ammo.
Since most of our hunting is mule deer and antelope I think these will do the job very nicely, though the 140 grain 7mm Accubonds will probably work just fine on my next cow elk.
Many thanks again to Hunttalk and Nosler.

140 grain Nosler Accubond handloaded for a 7mm-08. First antelope with a rifle; first animal with my own handloads.

First Pronghorn

First Pronghorn. Taken this year. I handloaded 150 grain Nosler Partition's in my .270 Winchester. I can't see me ever changing what I use. Same load has taken white-tailed deer in Michigan and feral hogs in Florida. I have never needed more than one, and have never recovered the slug.

Not a great pic, but rain was falling, and I wanted to get her dressed. 1st rifle hunt in 2 years, been picking up ML tags lately. 120gr ballistic tip out of a 6.5 Grendel. First harvest with this particular rifle. Bullet really did a great job.
