Nissan Titan potential purchase - curious about issues including engine knock

I bought one in '04 when they first came out. I was broadsided in 2014?? and the truck was totaled with 105K trouble free miles. It was a great truck with a ton of power. During the time I owned it, I also drove a Chevy w/5.3L and a Ford w/5.4L (for work). The Titan seemed to have way more power and was better put together. I had problems with both the Chevy and Fords prior to 100K miles. I would get another Titan but they are sooo expensive compared to '04....I'm getting old. LOL
