Ollin Magnetic Digiscoping System

NFA Wait Times

Banish backcountry is rated for 300 rum. Not sure how much recoil or suppression you’d get on the rum with a 5” can though. One of these days I’ll try mine on a friends rum
See you also have the banish 30.

Is there much difference in suppression/recoil reduction between the 30 and back country? Seems like the backcountry is the ticket for a hunting suppressor.

Have only used it up to 60 grains of powder and 156 grain bullet. Haven’t noticed a difference between the two at that level. 95+ grains of powder and 200+ grain bullet you might

I have the banish 30 and the banish 30 gold. The 30 gold does better at taming my Weatherby 30-378 (probably the closest rifle I have to a rum). I use the 30 in the 7” configuration. I don’t notice much difference in audible noise or recoil reduction.

I don’t have a backcountry so I can’t make that comparison.

I’m at 25 days since ATF approval and Silencer Central still has not shipped my suppressor out.

I called them when I was close to the same. They said that because they are having so many suppressor getting approved they are a little behind. I think they weren’t ready for the change in ATf’s speed. Everything else for me is seamless. Just the part from approved to in my hands is frustrating.

That’s what they told me too.

What 30 cal suppressors would you guys reccomend? What about direct thread vs. Qd?

Want something rated for a 300 rum, a lighter weight, and somewhat compact without giving too much suppression up.

For me, taper mount is the only way to go, especially if you ever need to use the gun without a can. The Griffin system offers the widest selection of thread options, and you can put them all into any HUB can. I have a bunch of Griffin's Sportsman series can for hunting, economical, light, great suppression. I'm waiting on my SiCo Scythe to be approved, its smaller, lighter, and will have a similar level of suppression. The Scythe and most of TBAC cans are probably near the top of the heap for hunting.

Whats the advantage to a tapered mount?

Direct thread is somewhat prone to working loose during use, and is less repeatable to zero when you remove the can and put it back on. Taper mounts are really resistant to working loose, and they typically return to zero. The taper mounts I use are also a brake, they help reduce wear on the can and also continue to be a brake if the can is off. The taper mount will also protect the usually fine threads on a rifle barrel. They are more of a set it and forget it solution compared to direct thread.

Just received approval for my Diligent Defense Enticer S Ti. For 4 Trust was resubmitted 4/30, approved 5/14. Capitol Armory said they would request an expedite on the resubmittal as it shouldn't have been rejected for the mistake in the trust beneficiary, but IDK if that had anything to do with the approval time. Can't wait to get it on my Howa Superlite and get her zeroed for the fall!

Just got notice that my suppressor finally shipped from Silencer Central’s FFL. The downside is the thread adaptor that I ordered from them is back ordered until July. I can’t catch a break.

If it's the industry standard HUB (1-3/8"x24tpi) direct thread adapter, you could order direct from a manufacturer. I have a Diligent Defense suppressor in the CLEO notification period right now, but I ordered their 1/2x28 DT adapter and it's only $55 and in stock in multiple barrel thread pitches.

Good to know, thanks. Just a bit bummed that I ordered it 14 months ago and now they’re telling me this while my suppressor is on the way.

My Diligent Defense Enticer S Ti from Capitol Armory was just delivered! Submitted to ATF Jan 4, initially denied to a mistake in with the trust (set myself as trustee and beneficiary, resubmitted April 30, Approved May 15. There was a little delay with the CLEO wait period as they didn't get a response that the certified letter to the Sheriff was delivered, but once the CLEO accepted notice, I had the suppressor in hand in 9 days.

My Howa Superlite tipped the scales at 6lb 13oz suppressed with Talley mediums, a VX-5 2-10x42, and an FHF sling. Can't wait to get out and shoot with it!
