New USFWS Director

What are your thoughts @BuzzH and @JM77
And much worse. More pros than cons, IMO.
I didn't agree with some things he did at G&F, but he was accessible. He definitely gets western issues.

I know nothing about the guy, but I was definitely hoping when I read the title of "former WYGF Director" that it was from under Mead's administration.

I believe he was picked for one single specific issue, delisting grizzlies.

After talking with @JM77 I believe he could be good for the West and Wyoming specifically if he chooses to be. For selfish reasons, that's fine by me. He also has access to the right experts on grizzly bear recovery in Wyoming.

I still think there are better choices out there if you look at things from the 30K foot view, certainly worse choices too.

He's very familiar with a lot of the hot-button species: grizzlies, sage grouse, wolves.

Better or worse than the predecessor? Serious question.
Depends on the agenda. I'd say a push and IMO, its always better to have somebody from the West.

Hopefully Nesvik can bring some more of that government grant money to Wyoming that @Treeshark and @Mallardsx2 are so bent out of shape about.

If he can do that, I'd say he's the best choice for the job.

^^^ FIFY but keep digging your moat around Wyoming.

Also, you seem to think I am against all government spending. That couldn't be further from the truth.

So, I say again, and I quote what I said earlier, "I hope that funding for projects that really make our country better are evaluated and allowed to move forward. Those projects and expenditures that don't benefit the USA or our closest allies should be shut down immediately until our national debt is under control."
