We dropped off the dogs with our daughter last Wednesday and headed for Northern NM.

Vista near Taos

B&B casita at Taos...cool place to stay

The Lensic Theater in Santa Fe...amazing architecture

Great weather, cool evenings and something we've not had in Texas in quite a while..the smell of rain in the air.

I was going to ask you where Taos was. Id like to take the wife there someday. Maybe we'll meet up. Thanks for sharing the pics and thanks for that other thing you helped me with.

Very cool Ken. Envy you guys. 16 days or less (cost-cutting) and hopefully Judy and I will be on the road or at the cabin to start our new life post work life together......

Looks like a heck of a way to spend a weekend.

I need to find a reason to explore that country, seems like an awesome place to be.

New Mexico is a fun state to tour through.

One of my favorite signs from there.

Makes me want to get back there. Have you been to bandelier national monument?

We had a deal with one of the puebloans at Taos where I would send him turkey and pheasant feathers and he would send us ceremonial aspen drums. That is the kind of thing that happens when I leave my wife untethered.

I do alot of work in that area and recently learned that, Originally named Hot Springs, the city changed its name to Truth or Consequences, the title of a popular NBC Radio program. In 1950, Ralph Edwards, the host of the radio quiz show Truth or Consequences, announced that he would air the program from the first town that renamed itself after the show; Hot Springs won the honor.

Worked on a big hunting "cabin" (8600 sq feet) outside Raton. Totally surrounded by the Vermejo Park. Tons of elk around. I'd love to hunt it someday. mtmuley

Thanks for the story.

My wife and I were convinced it was founded by some religous cult or something.
