Anyone else watch American Primeval on Netflix? Set in mid 1800s in Utah. Pioneers vs Mormons vs Army vs Indians. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it. Details are fictionalized but based on some true locations/events.

Shea Whigham is a national treasureI really enjoyed it. Strong female characters and I enjoyed the portrayal of Jim Bridger. Dark, but good.

Stumbled upon a homestead when I was out there last fall....I wish that place could talk.Homesteads around here are full of graves and this place was not settled until 1920.
I drive I-15 not far from there at least a few times per year. Might need to take a detour and explore a bit of that area sometimeThought it was pretty good myself. We are a Dark People.
Hunted near Mountain Meadow Massacre site twice. Natl. Monument Site.
Locals tear down any signs and deny. Very strange folks around there.
I came across a spot, I think near Lajitas TX right near Mexican border and Big Bend that seemed pretty interesting. I'd like to spend more time in that part of the country as well.Found a old Spanish rancho nearby. Graves from 1790's. Wrought iron around them.
Stone and adobe walls.
A small fort if you look at it right. Women and babies in the graves.
Was the homestead in Illinois or out West further? Back in South Dakota there's some real old remains from old homesteads/barns/churches/cemetery that on my families land that I really wish we knew more about... We think it was likely my family many generations back but will likely never knowStumbled upon a homestead when I was out there last fall....I wish that place could talk.

This! That woman and I guess it’s actually how they portrayed her character, was horrible. Kept hoping they’d kill her off.I thought it was ok, wife is watching it now. I got tired of the primary actress (the mom) always screaming and not listening to anyone. Well worth a watch compared to modern tv shows like NCIS Fargo.
I thought it was part of her overall character arc. After some of the events she changed from that initial character into someone who was stronger, smarter, and more stoic. I enjoyed the character development/evolution that took place particularly with Sara, Abish, and Isaac. This! That woman and I guess it’s actually how they portrayed her character, was horrible.
