neck shavings when resizing brass

I'm reloading some 28 nos and using a Redding die. I've cleaned my brass and rolled them in oil to lubricate the casing. When depriming and resizing the casing, I'm getting some very slight brass shavings around the neck. I can see that the resizing component is shaving the brass. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it? I've tried some adjustments to the die but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

yes, using a q-tip I've also lubed the neck. I am getting scratches, more like shavings off the neck but very slight. I do not see burrs on the inside of the casing but I'll look up in the die. should I lubricate the die as well?

Are you trimming the brass to length? Necks might be stretching longer.
So far the resized casings are coming out perfect on length but I stopped after five of them to figure out why my necks are getting shaved.

They may be getting a little thinner at the mouth. Might want to trim them down a bit and then chamfer.

I got some 22 250 brass too hot while annealing them and when I sized them they did what I think you are describing. I'll grab a picture when I'm in the loading room

Are the shavings round and thin like they are coming from the case mouth? Possibly the die is removing burrs from the case mouth. Maybe try de-burring the outer side of the case mouth. FWIW I use resizing wax. I've sort of seen that myself. I take a patch and jag on a short rod like from one of those 3 piece Outers rods kits and wet it with Ronsonol and use it clean the die after sizing. I can sometimes see shavings on the patch. Frankly, I don't fret over it. If it's distracting, I'd contact Redding. Also all of my active die sets are Redding brand.

Any pics of the shavings?
