I was glad to see the gov step up and stop that lunacy. Now, as far as the NR permit crap, it amazes me how people from outside Nebraska will complain if we even mention raising prices, when they stay amazingly quiet when discussing the outrageous permit fees for NR hunters in their own states.
I have always felt like permit fees should be reciprocal depending on the state. If Colorado wants to charge Nebraska hunters $350 for a deer, then that is what it should charge them here. Same with any other state. If Alabama charges me $25, then they should be able to come here for that.
If other states want to gouge NR hunters to support their agencies, then why shouldn't Nebraska also boost their revenue the same way?
I am not one to complain about resident fees, as it is supporting operations in our own state and in comparison to other expenses of hunting and fishing, the permit fees are pretty minor.
