Nebraska fall turkey

Well looking to put together a fall hunt. My son is addicted to turkey hunting after getting his first this spring. So looking to hit Nebraska for a fall hunt. Any leads on area to check out? I’m not familiar with the public option in Nebraska and what parts of the state holds birds. Any tips on a region to look at would be great. Just wanting to spend time with my boy in some new country.

Turkeys are going the way of the pheasant in NE.


I cover a lot of ground every day in formerly good turkey country. You just rarely see them anymore.

Good luck, you will see new country but turkeys will be scarce. Like shb said they are almost like the dinosaur in parts that used to have lots.

Sadly it seems like that all over the country. I think the fur market in the toilet has hurt all the ground nesting birds. just Trying to put together some more hunts with my son. Can’t believe he’s a sophomore this year. Dang the time is slipping away fast
