Mystery Ranch no more?

I believe the majority of the hunting line, if not all are made in the phillipines/vietnam. I know most of the military line is made in Bozeman or at least they were when I was using them. I have been really wanting to get a new Metcalf 100 and maybe I will now. I have also been looking at Eberlestock (aluminum frame, but able to withstand quite a bit of weight apparently) and Stone Glacier. I usually end up going with the ones with the biggest discount and MR has been that way for a while for me. Anyone have any experience with Eberlestock or Stone Glacier?

I’m a Stone Glacier guy hands down. I have one frame and two interchangeable bags(bought one from a H’ter). Lightweight, streamlined, customizable, and can pack out a semi. They fit me really well. Had a buddy that bought one but didn’t fit his torso right. I would highly recommend SG but try them on if you can.

I've never handled one, but I have heard nothing but good reviews. They are a little on the pricy side but you get what you pay for also.

Top notch customer service and warranty too. One of my straps got cut during a pack out. They fixed it for free and had it back to me lightning fast.

Mystery Ranch has always done the same for me. I wonder what the customer service will be like now. When you order a Stone Glacier, it comes with the frame and the bag or do you have to order separate?

They come together.

Wonder if Yeti rebrands the hunting bags then - like they did these? Not that I'd have much interest in that.

It's hard to imagine those hunting pack retail sales not being a net benefit to a company.

i'm no marketing guru, but I would think taking the MR name off the hunting line would tank it fast.

might tank regardless 🤷‍♂️

Not me ... as I'm always losing coffee mugs. But I'll never lose my Metcalf!

Maybe not you, but some people might, a buddy of mine unwisely took his new pack off in a sea of sagebrush last week while looking for blood and then promptly lost that too...I had the pleasure of watching the scene unfold from across the valley through my binos. :ROFLMAO:
