What a great conclusion to an awesome hunt with your son.
I thought the area looked familiar but when I saw the power plant in the background I knew exactly where you were.
It's a tough hunt for sure but I'm glad you and your son kept at it.

Thanks. I figured how low the elk densities are there shouldn't be too many people fighting to get to that spot.

Nice work dad- way to persevere! Your son is comfortable on camera and he should start taking the lead and you film!

Now get that kid some binos! Even if he was not using rifle scope to 'glass' in that one scene, every hunter needs binos.

I had him a chest pack with a pair of Swarovkis in it, but he didn't like them so in the truck they stayed. I get the dangers of glassing through a riflescope, but the reality was I had already checked the canyon for people and just had him glassing for elk in the shadows.
