My 2025 Iowa season

Might as well kick off the new season. Cold and windy weekend I decided to leave the ice fishing gear at home. We are at the cabin for the weekend so I figured on some hiking. Yellow river state forest has about 60 miles of hiking trails so I figured that's a good start in preparation for my fall hunting season. Hopefully a colorado elk muzzy tag will be in my pocket. Plan is to do these 60 miles in addition to other hikes and also a few mtn tough programs.

Did a quick 2.17 miles after breakfast this morning. A few things to do today with the wife but hopefully do a couple more miles this afternoon.

Good luck this season! I briefly look at the Yellow River SF a few years ago. Lots of land!

Considering doing a CO muzzy elk tag this year myself. With the weather we've had recently I'm sticking to the treadmill for now.
