My 2022 Iowa season.

Made it over to the big river ice fishing over the weekend. Saturday 2 of us limited out on gills in about 2 hours time. Sunday it slowed up a bit with 12 keepers between the 2 of us.

Stopped and got an estimate for some body work on the Ram Bighorn. New rockers, cab corners, one front fender, and a few small dents. Also getting new running boards and then the rig will be ready for the 2023 season.

Some deer roast from the crockpot and cheesy potatoes for supper on a cold night.

Got myself a new toy today. It's on the charger and will be on the ice tomorrow morning.

Fished a small shallow lake with only 2 small gills there.



Next off to a back water slough OSS the cedar River with no bites at all.

Took a day trip over to the big river. Started the morning north of guttenberg with no bites for myself. My buddy caught 3 keeper perch. After that we headed a little north to Norwegian lake. I ended up with 8 keeper gills and about 30 small fish. My buddy got 4 keeper gills and 2 crappies with a bunch of smalls.

What a beautiful day out on the ice today. Got on the ice about 8 and the weather was perfect. It was touch and go all day. Some fish would move in then out just enough to keep us interested. At the end of the day we had 16 keepers between 2 of us.

Went looking for some pheasants today. Took off with a buddy and his to dogs for a long uneventful morning. I guess that's a wrap for 2022. Good luck to everyone in 2023.
