Went to the rodeo today and my daughter said she'd like to give sheep riding a shot. I wanted to support her so I signed her up but thought there was no way she'd actually let someone drop her onto the back of a sheep in the chute. She proved me wrong! Not only was she a sport, she held on for a pretty good ride and won the trophy!

Here she is unable to smile cause she got dirt in her mouth.

I figured since she could do it, I might as well give the manly event a try. Then I saw this, peed my pants, and decided that one rodeo participant in the family is more than enough.

My wife is hoping our kid(s) try mutton bustin'. We thought they could practice on our nervous black lab, but figured she would cheat and run out the pet door.

I had contemplated that but figured I wouldn't be able to sneak that one past anybody. I figured me peeing myself was a bit more believable.

Thanks for the comments guys. She's still talking non-stop about her trophy and how she wants to take it to kindergarten for show and tell. Definitely one of those memorable events for all of us.

That's the best advice I've received in quite some time! Will do!

That poor kid was the runner up. Probably would have won except that the sheep ran straight to the mud hole and fell over with the kid still clinging on. Most of the other kids got dumped right at the gate.
