Muley looking whitetail

Well, Poke'em posted a picture of a mule deer that looked like a whitetail, so I thought I would do the opposite. First time i've seen this buck, but he has short "hooked" brow tines and both G2s are forked at the top. He's not nearly as wide as most mulies though.

I don't get it either, but I don't see any whitetail in him. Antlers and face look like a muley too.

Looks like a whitetail to me. The long main beam with the tines coming off of it and the long skinny pointed muzzle. Definately a whitetail.

Hard to see the tail, but it looks like a black tip. That's muley.

Mule deer have a white tail with a black tip. Whitetails have no black tip.

Antlers on a mule deer branch off. A 4 point will be two forks on one side. Just like the 2nd picture down on the right side. Closest to trail camera.

I don't see a black tip on it's tail.. I see a dark colored plant right behind the end of it's tail.

Lots of whitetails get split g2s.

That's why I said we need a better picture. OP seemed to think it had muley in it. I assumed he could see it better than us. If not the thread seems a waste of time.

Bottom line. What does it matter?
