Here is the buck I shot opening morning in eastern MT. I had watched him for about an hour the day before and found him in the same area the next morning. There were a couple of other bucks with him, one of which had a better main frame, but no junk. I shot him just before the sun broke the horizon at about 300 yards with my 280.
After a few pictures I hiked 1.5 miles back to the pick-up to get some help with the dragging chores.
Ends up he wasn't much help.
