Just glancing through this thread for the second time, what a tank of a grizz in that second pic. Yikes!

I do find offence at your lack of detail/follow up with this

including a griz chewing up my pack in the middle of the night about six feet from my bivy sack.

Inquiring minds want to know what happened when you discovered the beer chewing on your pack? Was it driven off by the smell emanating from your shorts?
