MT: If draw limited entry can still hunt general areas also?

I tried some initial searches and apologize I didn't find the answer. If I draw a limited entry unit can I also hunt the general units?

Yes, but why would you put in then if your still planning on hunting somewhere general?

Good question. The limited unit is further from my house so during the week or weekend day hunts I'd like to hunt local general unit(s). Then when I can drive the distance to spend a few days I'd have the focused time in the Limited unit.

ps - this would be if the limited entry unit is not one of the star units, but very easy to draw one.

I guess, if that is what you wish to do so with a tag. Not much different I guess then guys that have a 900 archery tag in there pocket for "backup" and still hunt general areas. Then when they can make the drive they head to wherever their heart desires in the 900 regions.....
