Last year I fulfilled my lifelong dream hunt of an Alaskan Moose. I went solo, got dropped off via float plane and literally had the trip of a lifetime. Wish I could go every year. Alaska is a special place no doubt.

It was a great hunt but looking forward to something a little lighter like elk. Alaska unguided and self-outfitted (all our own gear). Just got a ride in and out.
Renfro's is AWESOME!! I went in 19. Looks like you did a ridge hunt. I was out in the swamps.

Had a tough hunt on a CWMU unit in Utah. Almost went home empty on my oil bull moose tag. Got the only bull anyone had seen on the unit in weeks. I am happy to have him. Had fun with my brother and got some great meat.

Hi Bob, My nephew has 27 points and is looking at CWMU's vs general areas but there are only 6 that have more than 1 tag (which will go to the highest points rather than random) and only 1 or 2 that he may draw with 27 points. Since it's OIL he wants a decent chance at a good bull so just trying to get some info on possible units. Would you be willing to tell me what CWMU you hunted and what your experience was--including lack of moose? (he is also an avid archery hunter and now getting into ML hunting) Thanks Larry Muench
