That is true I only apply for elk (special permits) and the big 3 now. Seriously considering dropping out of the elk game there after my next permit for the simple fact that you get hammered on the refund when your not drawn for 10 years as a NR.Simple economics people will pay a lot to shoot a young rutted up deer. They keep selling out. Let them pay I guess.
I didn’t draw last year with one preference point,so probably be the same this yearMaybe if enough people quit coming FWP will consider managing for quality hunting instead of “opportunity.”
Who says I don’t,smart guyHere's a thought. Hunt your own state.
Now that's just bold talk.for the record I was never complaining, just jabbing myself for paying that much.if we had muledeer, antelope and a huntable Elk population in Missouri I would stay home and hunt, got old tree stand hunting whitetails for 30 yrs
Most of us got your drift.for the record I was never complaining, just jabbing myself for paying that much.if we had muledeer, antelope and a huntable Elk population in Missouri I would stay home and hunt, got old tree stand hunting whitetails for 30 yrs
Seriously? A 20 dollar bill for a deer tag too much? They need to stay home. mtmuleyI know a few residents who think they pay too much for a deer tag.
If I was closer and had more time, I'd spend the money.
I'll trade you a tag........ hell I'll even just come help spot.Hunting is not a cheap hobby, for me anyway. I'm more than happy to front the money in Montana for a Big Game Combo, turn in my Elk if I don't draw my permit and keep my Deer very expensive deer license. At the end of the day it gets me out of the house and I want to chase more deer, this comes from a guy who gets to chase some of the biggest mule deer in the world, at home, in Saskatchewan.

Pics?I wish non-residents could hunt without a guide or that we had a hunter-host program here in Saskatchewan. I'd be more than happy to trade hunts with guys and go chase rutting Saskatchewan whitetails.
The only thing I can trade for a hunt are my stunning good looks, any takers?
How many do you think would bitch if they doubled the price? 50%?Seriously? A 20 dollar bill for a deer tag too much? They need to stay home. mtmuley
More like 75%. I think I have a Montana deer hunter survey done a few years ago saved on my puter. I'll look. mtmuleyHow many do you think would bitch if they doubled the price? 50%?
What are the Saskatchewan rules on bear hunting or ducks? Need a guide for those? For US citizens.I wish non-residents could hunt without a guide or that we had a hunter-host program here in Saskatchewan. I'd be more than happy to trade hunts with guys and go chase rutting Saskatchewan whitetails.
