Before and after. I'm not the world's greatest checkerer-er, but it say that's an improvement. The lpi was made more uniform and the diamonds were all pointed. Notice how much more clear the new finish is compared to the milky poly that was on it before also.

A well lit shop is nice to work in, not great for photos. I have to get the positioning just right to show off any figure in the stock, and boy, does this stock have character!

Love that stock finish. Familiar with Truoil but on new wood. Is sandpaper your preferred method to remove the plastic finishes? Thank you.

A chemical stripper and plastic scraper is the safest way. You run the risk of taking off too much if you sand it.

I've switched almost exclusively over to sandblasting at low pressure.
