Missoula block management

I’ve been trying to dive in to the 3 or 4 block management lands right in Missoula area but nothing has been jumping out as GREAT habitat for elk and I’m not sure enough about deer to know that I can cross any of them off the list. I also looked at the fishing access sites but unless the water is much lower or there are good spots to wade across I wasn’t sure how to get to them. Does anyone have any experience here? Are any of them so poor they should just be crossed off? Or is there any advice on what to look for?

The family will likely be driving down for Griz games so I’ll probably have a few sundays to check around and walk the bow.

They get a lot of traffic. You can call Missoula FWP and get details on that. For biggame, I'd steer clear. I'd look into USFS locally or the TNC stuff around.
