BHR- Couple of things; 1. sarcasm is lost on some (unfortunately you in this case), 2. as pointed about by you and others the 4 billion for the management of the potential new wilderness.

You guy's are fools.....look at the "personal" e-mail Senator Tester sent me!

Dear Paul:

Thank you for contacting me with your concerns about the Omnibus Public Land Management Act (S. 22).

While I understand your concerns about land management issues, I believe this was a good bill, and I voted to pass it. All of the bills included in the omnibus passed out of committee with strong bipartisan support, but the objections of a single senator delayed their consideration until the 111th Congress.

This legislation contains several important provisions supporting conservation, watershed management and restoration, wildland firefighter safety, forest landscape restoration, national trails and parks, and heritage areas. Wilderness designations have also been proposed in several states, but not in Montana.

Included in this package are several bills that will be good for Montana, including two bills I sponsored: the Cooperative Watershed Management Act of 2008 (S. 3085) and the Wolf Livestock Loss Prevention and Mitigation Act (S. 2875). Both of these bills will reduce costly lawsuits and federal expenditures by focusing on preventing conflicts. This version also includes the Montana Cemetery Act of 2007 (S. 2124), the Ice Age Floods National Geologic Trail Designation Act (S. 268), and additional funding for water rights settlements in Montana.

I strongly support protecting our nation's public lands and ensuring public access to those lands for hunting, fishing, and hiking. I work hard to support our tradition of responsible stewardship and public access in the U.S. Senate. We must work to protect our clean air and water, wilderness, and wildlife so future generations of Montanans can continue to enjoy them.

I appreciate the time that you have taken to be involved and informed about this matter. Please do not hesitate to contact me again in the future if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Jon Tester
United States Senator
