Man poisons wife to kill Lion

You know, I came really close to accepting a job offer in Tanzania a few years ago. I don't mind the lions that much, but the people I can't stand. There's always an uprising in one or more of the African countries...and I just have this thing about the good ol' USA. I know it's far from perfect, but closer than some. Once you set foot out of this country, what we've perceived as rights all our lives becomes null and void.

The story reminded me of my grandmother many years ago before bunny huggers and animal rights activists. She had a big problem with the hawks killing her chickens at an alarming rate. She knew of a poison that only works on animals with a stomach type digestive system...it doesn't affect chickens or other fowls with a crop and gizzard. She fed whatever it was to one hen who was way past her prime. Sure enough the hawks got the hen, ate it, and died. My uncle was a kid at the time and said they found a very dead hawk in the barnlot the next day.

"Nowadays there are very few animals in the area for the lions to hunt. So instead of starving they decide to kill humans rather than keep on looking for antelopes or deers which are scarce," Commander Dau said.

Smart lions.
