Not that things don’t add up, but to put things in perspective, the money saved by the Bloomberg subscription is .00005% of the 2 trillion proposed by DOGE.
It's a small percentage, but $850k is still a large sum of money. Common sense says the government doesn't need a bloomberg subscription for $850k. How many other instances similar or greater in value are hidden out there?

The idea that some people are against spending cuts is incredibly stupid.

Income tax was implemented during the Civil War to help fund the war. Too bad it's gotten to the point now where no one actually knows what their taxes are going to.

Step one, cut spending where necessary. Step 2, start holding people accountable for their spending.

I never said I was against spending cuts.

I don’t know what the decision making process was for the Bloomberg subscription. Do you?

If we are serious about getting the budget into balance...the largest slices of the pie of federal spending are defense, social security, medicare, medicaid and interest on the national debt. The rest of it is trivial by comparison.

Anyone who thinks theses cuts are to reduce the debt, and deficit isn't paying attention. They are to help sell the extension of the original Trump tax cuts for the wealthy.

Do you really think Elon works for nothing. The world's richest man did not get there by doing things for nothing. His payday is the getting the tax cuts extended.

No--the tax cuts they have planned will zoom the deficit even higher.

Part of trumps tax cuts for the rich. Democrats going to vote against this?

"Critics of carried interest argue these earnings should be treated like wages, taxed at regular income tax rates, rather than receiving preferential capital gains treatment.

“It’s come up again and again on a bipartisan basis,” said Garrett Watson, director of policy analysis at the Tax Foundation. But there’s been consistent pushback from industry lobbyists.

“We encourage the Trump administration and Congress to keep this sound tax policy ... that supports jobs, workers, small businesses, and local communities,” the American Investment Council, a trade group that represents private equity, said in a statement."

Would doing a lap at the Daytona 500 in the Presidential limo count as a good place to start holding people accountable for their spending?

Asking for a friend.
