I had a buddy from law school whose first job was as a deputy prosecutor for a small jurisdiction in Southern Indiana (late 90s). Homeboy smoked as much weed as anyone I ever knew. I suppose it does , still close to home . His being arrested caused a mistrial for one of the atty's at the law firm my wife works , after he presented his case . Now the other side has weeks to prepare to answer . I guess there's going to be a bunch of mistrials .

Not unusual at all. Judges get in trouble all the time. A local judge here was murdered by the county sheriff. Sheriff walked in the judge’s chambers and shot him 9 times.
