Lever Monday...post em up

I shot it enough to sight it in before it goes back to its owner. It was MOA with 165gr Fusions.

They're not my favorite lever, but they all seem to shoot well.

Ive got 3 of them (1 blued ad 2 stainless), and by God those are the 3 rifles I'm taking to Montana for my elk & mule & whitetail deer hunt in Nov. They all shoot MOA, which given the wind out there will be good enough.

Dad's Savage 99 in 300 Savage, 1954 vintage, not too bad for 70 years of age. Hopefully my kids and grandkids can keep her running for another 70.

He stumbled upon it and got it for a great deal.
He believes it is an early 1900s rifle.
Is this a 99?
